I am a 4th year PhD student in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona and my research involves using fossil vegetation from rodent middens to determine how plants have responded to climate change in arid environments from the last ice age until present. After completing my Ph.D., I plan to teach at the college level and I am particularly interested in leading courses that will give students an understanding of the history of the earth, earth systems processes, and how humans interact with these systems.
This is my second year working with the Students Across Borders program and I'm very excited about sharing my experiences with this great group of students!

Soy una estudiante en el Departamento de Geología en la Universidad de Arizona. Estudio fosiles de plantas preservadas en paleomadrigueras de roedores para determinar como la vegetacion ha respondida a cambios en el clima en areas aridas en la ultima edad del hielo (la epoca Pleistocena) al presente. Despues de terminar con mi Doctorado, quiero ser profesora y tengo mucho interés en dar clases en la historia de la tierra, la clima y vegetacion, y como los humanos aftectan su medioambiente.
Es mi segundo año con la program Estudiantes A Través De Las Fronteras y tengo ganas de compartir mis experiencias con esta grupo de estudiantes!
