All lives need meaning                                                         Windows, doors, and walls
Serene the chapel lives on.                                                   These are old San Pedro
      So who gives a damn?                                                   What is its future?

Dusty old chapel                                                                  Flowers - paper and real
serene on its desert hill                                                         Spirit sacred and profane 
      Lives again for us.                                                         Old chapel lives on

Mountains and desert
guard the ancient chapel
     now alive once more.

The ancient chapel-
A place of hope, faith, and love.
     Deconsecrated.

Silent the chapel
rests on a desert hillside.
     Deconsecrated.

Stars light the chapel
resting above the highway.
     Deconsecrated.
