Angel de la Guarda

Deconsecrated
stars painted above the ruins
little Flower Club

Candles creosote
voices on paper echo
prayers on red blue tile

Dusty house of God
a neighborhood desert dream
serene adobe

A long ago earth
historical vistas shroud
la Capillita

Fading blue shadows
lace across a broken wall
old tin chandelier

Dust and stars outside
the cold swell of memory
music through night air.
